Funding would be used to evaluate and rehabilitate the Detroit River Interceptor (DRI), a critical piece of drainage infrastructure built over 100 years ago. The project will address major blockages caused by debris and other large objects that become lodged in the interceptor, reducing its capacity and making the system more vulnerable. Rail blockages occur daily on Pennsylvania Road at the border of Romulus and Huron Township. This funding will support the construction of a roadway bridge over this railroad crossing on Pennsylvania Road at the border of the City of Romulus and Huron Charter Township.

Muskegon Area Transit System

This funding will support non-construction and construction phases of a transit-related parking structure in downtown Muskegon, Michigan, to include retail and commerce spaces. The project will enhance downtown economic development efforts, spur additional private investment in the area, increase the walkability and the density of downtown development, and provide for a revenue stream in support of public transit operations through parking proceeds and lease or rental income.

These funds will support the planning and final design of the Mound Road/Detroit Arsenol Connector Project, which is part of a larger project to reconstruct 9 miles of Mound Road from its intersection with Interstate 696 (at 10 Mile Road) to the intersection with State Route M-59.
