This request would fund the federal share of the Preconstruction Engineering and Design phase for the Pearl River Basin, MS project.

This funding would accomplish the $25 million capability expressed by USACE to be executed in FY22 to continue pump design, to award the first contract to pre-load the pump site, to continue NEPA documentation for the Yazoo Backwater Levee to purchase mitigation land for the previously construction levee project.

The purpose of this authorized ongoing project is to reduce flood damages to homes, land, roads, bridges and other public infrastructure, as well as address environmental justice and environmental health issues within the Yazoo Backwater Area. Funding above the Budget Request will be used to continue work on the remaining unconstructed features of this ongoing project, which is intended to protect lives, property, and the environment.

Construct 52,495 SQFT MATES Addition at Camp Shelby MS, an ARNG MFGI. Project will provide 12 General Purpose Bays that support maintenance of M1 Family Vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.
