This project involves the removal and/or relocation of four (4) CAK "hot spots" on the airfield: Taxiway J, H, K, and C. These taxiway environments have historically contained a potential risk of collision or runway incursion, and where heightened attention by pilots and drivers has been necessary. All of the affected taxiways represent a non-standard entrance/exit from the runway environment, and some pose a restricted visual angle for aircraft operating to and from the terminal environment. The CAK terminal contains an existing CCTV security system that is limited in capabilities and coverage areas. This project will expand the current CCTV system to other areas of the terminal, roadways, parking lots, and facility buildings where needed to assist with a safe traveler experience.
