University of Hawaii System requests $1.5 million to build an innovation laboratory at the Manoa Innovation Center in Honolulu, HI. This “iLab” would be focused on promoting small technology businesses developing and commercializing scalable technologies by providing them with necessary resources.

The University of Hawaii (UH) Rural Health Research Center (RHRC) would focus on rural health workforce policy and health equity in the University’s Office of Strategic Health Initiatives to conduct high-quality and policy-relevant research and develop policy recommendations to improve rural health care in Hawaii. This project is part of the existing UHealthy Hawaii initiative and in partnership with key local rural health stakeholders. The RHRC’s primary areas of focus for FY22 and beyond are

University of Hawaii (UH) System requests $2.5 million for its Pacific Center for Additive Manufacturing (PaCAM) in Honolulu, HI. The funding would be used to conduct outreach and purchase equipment for the center.
