To fund the installation of 500-kilowatt solar power rooftop panels on two cargo facilities at Washington Dulles International. Installation of solar panels and supporting infrastructure will take place on cargo buildings 1 and 2 and have the capacity to produce approximately 500 kilowatts of clean energy.

Funding will enable the purchase of one mobile power station, one attachment (such as a backhoe) and supporting electrical charging infrastructure. The mobile power station is a zero-emissions platform, which will reduce fossil fuel use and greenhouse gas emissions through electrification of the transport fleet. This system also can play a critical role in disaster response by serving as a mobile power supply for first responders.
