Funding is requested for a two-phase construction plan in the Ochoco Irrigation District to pipe currently inefficient, aged canals that lose water to seepage and evaporation and present a public safety risk to the surrounding community. These irrigation modernization projects will reduce patron pumping costs, create carbon savings, and increase agricultural security for farmers and ranchers.
