Siena College

Siena College faculty will expand their program to train area high school math and technology teachers in creating computer science classes at their schools, and will help teachers earn NYS's new second certification in computer science by taking courses at Siena. Funds will also go toward purchase of a portable planetarium, equipment for Siena's Urban Scholars community outreach program, and a physics laboratory lending library for local high schools.

To address the growing demand in our region for qualified, compassionate health care workers, Siena College has developed a strategy for transforming and expanding its existing Morrell Science Center and Roger Bacon Hall facilities into a state-of-the-art science complex that accommodates the growth of health education programs. This funding request is specific for the biology and nursing laboratory equipment needed to support the curriculum.
