Kearns Metro Township
On behalf of Kearns Metro Township, I am requesting $3.2 million for phase 3 of the 4700 South roadway reconstruction project. 4700 South is classified as a principal arterial roadway for Kearns and West Valley and is designated as a bike route. The road condition has completely deteriorated and a full reconstruction is required in order to safely provide use of the road. As a joint project with Kearns Metro Township and West Valley City, 4700 South is being reconstructed and widened for bike lanes and to increase vehicle capacity from 4000 West to 5600 West in 3 phases. Phase 1 is nearing the end of construction (estimated completion, May 2022). Phase 2 includes the majority of the length of the project and has been partially funded with federal dollars through UDOT. Phase 2 was advertised to bid in April 2022, with construction expected to begin summer 2022 and extend through summer 2023. Phase 3 includes the portion from 5600 West to 5430 West, including reconstruction and widening of an at grade Union Pacific Railroad crossing. Phase 3 design is complete and coordination with UPRR is ongoing. We expect construction on phase 3 will begin in spring 2023 and be complete by late summer 2023. Phase 3 is an essential piece of the project and federal funding would be a great aid in ensuring that the project can be completed.

Procurement pursuit intelligence
This project has been enacted. FFID maps funded projects to likely downstream procurement channels — including recipient portals, state and local systems, agency programs, and Grants.gov. SAM.gov is monitored, but many CPF/CDS-funded opportunities appear first through recipient or state/local procurement systems.
