Horton's Kids
We are requesting $500,000 in Community Project Funding to support the renovation of Horton\u2019s Hub, a community church that Horton\u2019s Kids purchased that will be transformed into a vibrant community center. With nearly 20,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space in Southeast, Horton\u2019s Hub will serve as a central location to bring resources into the community. Building upon our sustained impact in the local community, Horton\u2019s Kids has embarked upon its next chapter of growth to reach even more children and families. We have acquired a community church in Southeast DC with strong ties to the community. This new \u201cHorton\u2019s Hub\u201d will be a central center that provides direct programming and enhances the offerings available at our neighborhood Resource Centers. This safe, supportive space for our participants will help combat the resounding impacts of COVID-19 and ensure their futures are full of opportunity and promise.
