Westmoreland County Airport Authority
The funding would be used to expand the existing terminal to provide more than 14,000 square feet of new usable space on each floor and reconfigure the floor plan. This new space would accommodate a second Transportation Security Administration (TSA) screening line, as well two new passenger boarding bridges.\nThis project is an appropriate use of taxpayer dollars because it increases the safety of the TSA screening area. Further, the project would drive business and recreational travel to southwestern Pennsylvania through increased aircraft boarding capacity and increased secure passenger holding capacity, fostering economic growth in the region.
