Project Description

This project involves the asphalt pavement resurfacing of Bishop/ Ridge Road (State Route 84) through the Limits of the City of Wickliffe. The project begins at the Interstate 90 Entrance/Exit ramp at Bishop Road and continues Northeasterly to the Willoughby Corporation line near State Route 91. This Urban Minor Arterial road is Federal Aid Eligible. \n\nThis section of Road provides access to all surrounding Cities (Willoughby Hills, Wickliffe, Willoughby, Etc.) for emergency, recreational, hospitality, resident and local businesses. Since the last pavement resurfacing of SR84 in 2006, the City has invested over $200,000 in preventative Maintenance and repairs to the State Route in order to extend the pavement Life. The City of Wickliffe has effectively used funding in the past to replace and repair the City\u2019s infrastructure including pavement resurfacing projects. These projects have returned deteriorated roadways within the District to a high quality riding surface, thus increasing safety of the roadway for all motorists and bicyclists. This project will greatly reduce the annual maintenance and repair cost of the roadway. This project will assist in the economic, health and safety areas for the Local and County Government.
