Redevelopment Authority of the City of Pittston
The project will be completed by the City's Redevelopment Authority. The Redevelopment Authority has overseen and undertaken many projects that have contributed to what has been known as the "Renaissance of Pittston." This project is so large in scope and economic benefit to the region, that the use of taxpayer funds is pre-eminent. The economic impacts of this project will have significant future impacts on City, County, School District, State and Federal taxes that are worthy of such an investment. This does not include the ancillary benefits of promoting the arts, providing educational opportunities, housing federally funded Redevelopment and Housing Authorities, tourism and providing housing.
