Naugatuck YMCA
The Naugatuck YMCA was constructed and opened its doors in 1922, and has been operating continuously since its inception. The YMCA is a destination spot for downtown Naugatuck which offers programming and needs to individuals and families from infants to seniors. The Naugatuck YMCA's service area include Naugatuck, Beacon Falls, and Oxford but does not limit those in need from any location. Our Current Child Care Center has a licensing capacity of 69 infant/toddlers and Preschool children. We are at full capacity and have another 35-50 children on the current waitlist. There is an enormous need in our community for affordable child Care. Due to the Pandemic, the borough of Naugatuck has had to close 2 child care centers within Naugatuck alone. The YMCA is working tirelessly to accommodate all families in need. We are exploring expansion in our current location or acquiring new property to expand our child care licensing capacities. In order for us to continue the good we do in our facility, the Y also needs to ensure proper heating and cooling within our facility, which includes our child care center. Three of our current rooftop HVAC units are on greater than 10 years of borrowed time and consistently break down, which requires contractor fixes. In order to provide activity and play in proper indoor spaces we also are in need of a new HVAC unit to service our gymnasium. This will also allow us to work with partnering agencies like the Red Cross to host blood drives, health fairs, and so much more.

Procurement pursuit intelligence
This project has been enacted. FFID maps funded projects to likely downstream procurement channels — including recipient portals, state and local systems, agency programs, and Grants.gov. SAM.gov is monitored, but many CPF/CDS-funded opportunities appear first through recipient or state/local procurement systems.
