City of Bisbee
The City of Bisbee Shared-use Path will be a 1.25 mile path connecting historic Old Bisbee with Historic Lowell, and provide the first segment of the Sun Corridor Trail in Cochise County- expected to run from Las Vegas Nevada to Douglas Arizona. The path will improve safety, community connectivity, economic vitality, health and quality of life, and reduce the City of Bisbee\u2019s carbon footprint. Bisbee is located 92 miles southeast of Tucson, and 11 miles north of the Mexican border, with a rural population of 4,923, a persistent poverty rate of 27.1%, and a median household income of only $34,452. This path will create 326 new jobs, will save 182 jobs, and create $5,482,000 in private investment.
