The objective of this renovation, expansion and modernization of CHCC laboratories will align with CDC funded programs such as Epidemiological and Laboratory Capacity (ELC) and Public Health Emergency Preparedness but those unfortunately cannot fund the level of significant construction needed. Continuing to improve delivery of healthcare on island is the most cost-effective approach for the CNMI and allows us to use federal funds more efficiently rather than allocating a significant portion of
