The purpose of the funding request is to replace a critical piece of infrastructure that has a direct environmental impact on the health and wellness on the citizens and businesses in Louisville, Mississippi and the surrounding rural region. The new wastewater pump station would alleviate a potential significant disruption in services to several education campuses and the new Winston Medical Center (rural hospital) and other local medical facilities that rely heavily on these healthcare services
