Kaneohe Marine Corps Base
Currently, Marines continue to occupy substandard and deteriorated facilities, which require continuous repair and maintenance in order to maintain minimum habitability. MCB Hawaii has cascading room inventory shortfalls due to phasing required to replace aging Bachelor Enlisted Quarters inventory. If this project is not funded, Marines will continue to live in substandard conditions, the cost to maintain facilities beyond their economic life will continue to increase as the buildings further deteriorate, and maintenance and utility costs will continue to grow. The new enlisted quarters will drastically improve the quality of life for the Marines aboard MCB Hawaii and eliminate the costs to maintain facilities beyond their economic life.
