City of West Sacramento
The Cities of West Sacramento and Sacramento hold contractual rights to use the upper deck of the I Street bridge, which is currently configured with two 5-foot pedestrian walkways that are not ADA compliant and 9-foot vehicle travel lanes too narrow to accommodate public transit vehicles.

As a part of the new I Street Bridge Replacement Project, vehicle traffic and the approach structures to the bridge upper deck will be removed from the existing structure. Recognizing the opportunity provided by this regional asset once vehicle traffic is removed, the project is highly desirable for the following reasons:

• The project supports reduction in GHG emissions by making an estimated 5,221 multi-modal daily trips possible, reducing VMT, increasing public safety, and promoting biking and walking in a region characterized by higher-than-average levels of cardiovascular disease by connecting two regional trail systems across two cities (Sacramento and West Sacramento) and two counties (Yolo and Sacramento).
• The project improves access points for active transportation modes in both West Sacramento and Sacramento and provides an opportunity to better serve bicycle, pedestrian, and micro-mobility use between the historic Washington District of West Sacramento and the historic Old Town District of Downtown Sacramento; and provides direct access to Sacramento Valley Station from West Sacramento – connecting Yolo County with Capital Corridor rail service to the bay area and other destinations.

This project will improve access between the cities' employment centers – including CalSTRS, the California Department of General Services, an approved 1.2 million square foot medical center, planned 15,000 seat Major League Soccer stadium, as well as numerous offices, retail, service and government jobs, accounting for approximately 3.3 million square feet of planned office, retail, hotel, and residential infill within a mile of the project site within the next 20 years.

Procurement pursuit intelligence
This project has been enacted. FFID maps funded projects to likely downstream procurement channels — including recipient portals, state and local systems, agency programs, and Grants.gov. SAM.gov is monitored, but many CPF/CDS-funded opportunities appear first through recipient or state/local procurement systems.

Multiple channels — see below
FFID could not determine the procurement channel with high confidence for this agency and category combination. Check the agency program page, Grants.gov, the state procurement portal, and the recipient's own procurement page.
Agency not specifically mapped. Check Grants.gov and the recipient's own procurement portal.
Discovery sources to check manually
