Mount St. Mary's University
The proposed project will support expansion of STEM research facilities to support American competitiveness in STEM fields, particularly those showing substantial workforce demand including computer science, data science, cybersecurity, and biological, environmental, and physical sciences. Requested funds will be used to increase existing research facilities through the addition of 20,000 ft2 of computational and laboratory spaces at Mount St. Mary\u2019s University in rural Emmitsburg, MD that will serve to enhance STEM competitiveness by providing work-based training, building educator-industry partnerships, and strengthening cross-disciplinary STEM training. There is a lack of STEM training in the area, and MSMU's program would help to increase competitiveness in the job market and create economic opportunities for local graduates.\r\n
