The PSAP will improve the effective delivery of emergency communications to first responders. The backup 911 Dispatch center at Fire Station 8 and the main Aurora Police Department 911 Dispatch center will be modernized with new and advanced workstation consoles, enhanced innovated noise control solutions, and next generation technologies/capabilities. \r\nAxon Interview is a cloud-based system that will streamline the Aurora Police Department\u2019s (APD) interview process. Its easy to use functionality and simplified user interface will allow the APD to take control of the recording process with a single tap \u2014 no need to deal with the extra overhead associated with outdated systems. The APD will be \r\nable to record securely and never sacrifice confidence in recordings, while maintaining a complete chain of custody with audio and video masking to protect attorney-client privileges and ensure defensible evidence. Recordings are integrated with the Axon network and its industry-leading security program. \r\nThe City of Aurora\u2019s phone system for the 911 Dispatch center is outdated. Aurora\u2019s municipal government has about 1,200 employees and approximately 900 have city-issued phones. This project would enhance the end-of-life current system to a newer digital cloud solution for better efficiency. Modernizing this system will lead to a safer community through a more efficient and effective use of the 911 Dispatch center, leading to faster response times by first responders.\r\n \r\n \r\n
