Project Description

This project will make improvements and modifications to increase capacity of the I-675/Wilmington Pike Interchange. The corridor serves major employment to medical, academic, commercial, and residential developments which are actively growing throughout the area surrounding the interchange. Moreover, the proposed modifications increase the capacity and safety of I-675 which serves as a main street to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.\n\nThe I-675/Wilmington Pike interchange serves major employment and commercial centers, residential and recreational users in the vicinity of the interchange and surrounding roadway network supporting the City of Centerville, Greene County and Sugarcreek Township. Growing congestion issues, along with continued opportunity for economic growth in the area, has prompted local interests to consider improvements to the arterial street network and the I-675/Wilmington Pike interchange.\n\nThis project will provide positive economic development and job creation support and retention to the region. This area of the transportation network will experience additional traffic growth with adjacent developments and required expansion to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the community. The improvements will also impact travel to and from several avenues of commerce and Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Sinclair College, and Premier Health network.\n\nThe ability of the transportation system to support this level of development will further enhance the success of the area. Measures of success will be determined by the number of jobs created and retained, the reduction in the number of accidents, and the flow of the local surface roadways affected by the Interchange to support flourishing economic development in the area.
