Project Description

Businesses and individuals in our urban and rural communities remain the hardest hit as these environments experience multiplier effects of health, social, educational, employment, and economic disparities. For these reasons, the MCCD will bring its collective advocacy and resources to bear while focusing our efforts on building the capacity of these community anchor entities to support them as they reboot and rebound. Providing capacity building services greatly needed in the hardest hit, most vulnerable communities results in an economic infusion of potential as their capacity to serve others is fully restored, and even built back better. When it comes to managing and scaling, Black and Brown small business leaders are challenged by a lack of knowledge, lack of funds, and lack of resources required to pivot and rebound after the pandemic.
